I joined the lab in May 2022 as a postdoc researcher. My research focuses on investigating the role of the cGAS-STING pathway in Parkinson’s disease (PD). I am using iPSC derived microglia, astrocytes, and dopaminergic neurons to explore the impact of cGAS-STING on neuroinflammation in PD. I am also interested in crosstalk between these cell types and how defective mitophagy in PD patients with PINK/Parkin mutations exacerbates neuroinflammation. During my Ph.D., from Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, India, I studied the role of dopamine in the formation of microglia extracellular traps in both microglial cell lines and primary patient cells.

I love playing squash, although I am just a beginner, and sometimes reading novels.
